How to Save Your Progress

Managing your progress in —the massive community-driven sequel to Yume Nikki —is critical due to the game's sheer scale, featuring hundreds of worlds and dozens of effects. Whether you are playing the standalone version or through the YNOproject (Yume Nikki Online), here is how to handle your save data effectively.

By default, Yume 2kki allows you to save anywhere in the game world through the main menu (unlike the original Yume Nikki , which required desks). How to Save Your Progress Managing your progress

  1. When a new version (e.g., 0.125) drops, do not wander immediately.
  2. Load your old master save in the new game engine.
  3. Walk to the Nexus bed and save again. This rewrites the save file to the new format.
  4. Now explore.
