- Authorized Status: You must be an Authorized VW Dealer or an Authorized Independent Workshop.
- GeKo License: You must purchase a specific license from Volkswagen.
- Workshop Equipment: You must own a licensed diagnostic tool (commonly the ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System) hardware interface, such as a VAS 6154 or VAS 5054A).
- ErpS (Online Registration): In many regions, your workshop must be registered via the ERP system to prove legitimacy.
