Via USB:

Download the correct firmware file from a manufacturer's support site, save it to a USB drive, and use the DVR's internal "Upgrade" tool in the System menu. v2.62.r07 dvr software

Format the USB Drive: Connect the USB to your PC. Right-click the drive and select "Format" → File System "FAT32" → Start.
Load the Firmware: Copy the v2.62.r07 file onto the root directory of the USB drive. Do not place it inside a folder.
Power On the DVR: Connect your monitor and mouse. Power on the DVR.
Access the Menu: Log in (default credentials often are admin with no password, or admin / 123456).
Navigate to Upgrade: Go to Main Menu → System Settings → Upgrade (or Maintain → Update).
Select USB Upgrade: Choose "USB Upgrade" as the device. The software should automatically detect the .bin file.
Start the Update: Click "Upgrade" or "Confirm." The DVR will display a progress bar (0% to 100%). Do not power off or unplug the USB drive during this process.
Automatic Reboot: Once 100% is reached, the DVR will automatically reboot. Upon reboot, remove the USB drive.
Factory Reset: After the update, go to System Settings → Default → Load Default. This ensures no old configuration conflicts with the new v2.62.r07 kernel.
