Upgrading a Renault or Dacia MediaNav from version to 1.0.13.1 involves a major architectural jump. Version 9.1.3 is the final stable build for the older MediaNav Evolution (MN2) hardware (running Windows CE), while 1.0.13.1 is for the newer MediaNav Evolution v2 (MN3) hardware (running Linux).
The good:
- Version in settings should show
10131orRN 2.2.0. - Touch calibration – 913 resistive screen may drift. Recalibrate via hidden menu (hold RADIO + PHONE).
- Bluetooth – may require factory reset:
Settings → Factory Reset → Code: 10131.
- Insert a USB Drive: Insert a blank USB drive (at least 8GB) into your computer.
- Create a Bootable USB: Download and install a tool like Rufus (for Windows) or Etcher (for macOS or Linux). Create a bootable USB drive using the Medianav 10.131 upgrade package.
- Connect the USB Drive to Your Vehicle: Insert the USB drive into your vehicle's USB port.
- Enter the Medianav System: Turn on your vehicle's ignition and navigate to the Medianav system.
- Update via USB: Select the "Update" or "Settings" menu, then choose "Update via USB." The system will detect the upgrade package and begin the installation process.
