The series is perhaps most famous for its introduction of General Grievous. In the 2003 series, Grievous is a terrifying, unstoppable force, decimating Jedi with a cough that signaled his eventual transformation into the cyborg seen in Episode III . This depiction instilled a genuine sense of fear and dread that defined the character for years. Furthermore, the series showcased Mace Windu as a master of Vaapad, tearing apart battle droids with his bare hands, and highlighted the progression of Anakin Skywalker from a brash Padawan to a scarred Jedi Knight.
