Its subsequent international release on platforms like Hotstar and YouTube, accompanied by English subtitles, transformed the show from a domestic religious spectacle into a global cross-cultural artifact. This paper argues that the English subtitles of Siya Ke Ram function not merely as a linguistic translation device but as a complex tool of transcreation —a process that navigates the treacherous waters between Sanskritic literary tradition, Awadhi colloquialisms, and Western secular expectations.
