After scouring Chinese forums (4PDA, FreakTab, and Baidu Yun), these are the most stable Android 9.0 builds currently available. Rk3229 Android 9.0 Firmware

• A Male-to-Male USB A cable (Do not use a charging cable; it must support data).
• Rockchip Driver Assistant (v4.7 or newer).
• AndroidTool v2.58 (Rockchip’s official flashing utility for Windows).
• A paperclip or tweezers (for shorting the mask ROM pins if the device is bricked).
• Your specific PCB version (Open your TV box. Look for the board number, e.g., MXQ-SV6051-V3.0, X88-Pro-V1.2, or RK3229_D4_V1.0).

Step 2 – Enter Maskrom mode (essential for RK3229)

• Click Upgrade (not “Restore”).
