Nagamma collapses into a fever; Guru Sheshadri reveals that the naga’s health is tied to the land’s respect. Anjali decides to perform a healing rite guided by old songs and the bangle. The ritual is interrupted by the hired tantrik who tries to steal the bangle; in the scuffle, the tantrik is injured and later revealed to have staged his own dramatic possession to manipulate villagers.
