do not ship with a universal default password
When discussing the "default admin password" for MDaemon, it is important to understand that modern versions of the software for security reasons.
- [ ] Still using default/weak administrative credentials.
- [ ] No longer using default credentials — password has been changed.
- Log into the Windows Server physically or via RDP.
- Open the MDaemon Messaging Server application (the blue icon in the system tray).
- Go to Accounts -> Account Manager.
- Find the Admin account -> Click Change Password.
- Add their own email accounts.
- Forward all your email to an external address.
- Bypass spam filters.
- Use your server to send spam (causing IP blacklisting).
- Delete mailboxes and backups.
