System Backup & Restore:

Download the active database as a .usr file to keep as a safety fallback or easily push a prepared configuration template to a newly installed PBX.

  1. Never share your V2C files publicly. A V2C file is essentially a key to your software. Treat it like a password.
  2. Disable remote access to the admin tool unless absolutely necessary. Edit the hasplm.ini file to restrict remote administration to specific IPs.
  3. Use antivirus exclusions. Many aggressive antiviruses flag hasptool.exe as a false positive (due to its encryption and low-level USB access). Exclude the Aladdin Shared folder from real-time scanning.
  4. Firmware updates: Regularly check for firmware updates for your hardware keys via the Key tab. Outdated firmware can have security vulnerabilities.
