: The presence of KPortScan 3.0 on a network is a high-confidence indicator of compromise (IoC).

Target Usage

: It is frequently used to scan for open ports related to common services like SMB , RDP , and LDAP .

  • Open KPortScan 3.0 → Select “ARP Scan” type.
  • Enter 192.168.1.1-254 as target.
  • Click “Start”.
  • Result in 10 seconds: List of all live hosts, their MAC addresses, manufacturer (OUI lookup), and open top 100 ports.
