Ibm Ts3310 Admin Account Locked

IBM TS3310 Tape Library administrator account is locked, you can typically regain access by performing a password reset through the unit's physical operator panel (OCP). This process reverts the administrator credentials to their factory defaults. Quick Fix: Reset via Physical Panel

1. Security → Authentication → Remote Mode → LDAP.
2. Map a domain admin group to the Administrator role.
3. Now, if the local admin locks, you can still log in with domain credentials.

Navigate

If you cannot wait for the timeout, you can manually reset the passwords from the library's front panel (Operator Panel). Note that this may revert the "Admin" password to the factory default. to the Configure menu on the front display. Select Save/Restore . Choose Restore Passwords .

Set your laptop IP to the same subnet (Default is often 10.0.0.1 for the library). Access the RMUI via the service IP. Default Service Credentials

Power cycle the library
