• Memory Address Space Expansion: Legacy 32-bit applications are capped at approximately 4 GB of RAM. Large-scale Eplan projects—such as those detailing entire automotive production lines or power plants—easily exceed this threshold when handling thousands of pages, macros, and device tags. The X64 architecture allows Eplan to utilize system memory dynamically, directly mitigating out-of-memory (OOM) crashes during intensive operations like project-wide terminal numbering or PDF generation.
• Multi-threading and Background Processing: The 64-bit environment allows the Windows operating system to allocate processing threads more efficiently. This ensures that background processes, such as spell-checking, automatic part number synchronization with ERP systems (like SAP or Microsoft Dynamics), and macro updates, do not choke the main UI thread.

Enhanced Navigators

: The table-based editing view, previously limited to Macro Navigators, is expanded to the Device , PLC , and Wire Navigators . This allows for rapid, bulk editing of project data directly in a list format.
