OptiFDTD enables you to design, analyze and test modern passive and nonlinear photonic components for wave propagation, scattering, reflection, diffraction, polarization and nonlinear phenomena. The core program of OptiFDTD is based on the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) algorithm with second-order numerical accuracy and the most advanced boundary conditions – Uniaxial Perfectly Matched Layer (UPML).

The algorithm solves both electric and magnetic fields in temporal and spatial domain using the full-vector differential form of Maxwell’s coupled curl equations. This allows for arbitrary model geometries and places no restriction on the material properties of the devices.

Applications

  • Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR)
  • Photonic band gap materials and devices
  • Nano-particles, and tissue cells
  • Diffractive micro-optics elements and lenses
  • Complex integrated optics structures
  • Nonlinear materials, dispersive materials
  • Optical micro-ring filters and resonators
  • Grating based waveguide structures
  • Electromagnetic phenomena

Interface with Popular DesignTools

DSL-2740U

The D-Link firmware version ME-1.03 is a region-specific software release (primarily for the Middle East market) designed for specific hardware revisions of this N300 ADSL2+ wireless router. Core Technical Context

Vulnerabilities:

As an older firmware version, it may be susceptible to modern exploits. Public CVE databases (e.g., CVE Details ) have tracked similar versioning for related models (DSL-2750U) regarding information leaks and DNS issues.

Wired Connectivity

: Features four 10/100 Ethernet ports for stable wired connections to PCs or print servers [1]. dsl-2740u firmware version me-1.03

If you are currently managing a device with this firmware, use the following standard procedures: Instructions Accessing Interface Navigate to

  1. Connect to your router: Connect your computer to your router using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Open a web browser: Open a web browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.
  3. Log in to your router: Type the router's IP address (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in the address bar, and press Enter. Log in with your admin username and password.
  4. Navigate to the firmware update section: Once logged in, navigate to the firmware update section, usually found under the "Advanced" or "Maintenance" tab.
  5. Select the firmware file: Click on the "Browse" button, and select the ME-1.03 firmware file you downloaded earlier.
  6. Upload and install the firmware: Click on the "Upload" or "Update" button to begin the firmware update process. Wait for the process to complete, which may take a few minutes.
  7. Reboot your router: Once the update is complete, reboot your router to ensure the new firmware is fully applied.

D-Link DSL-2740U Firmware Version ME-1.03 is a critical software component for one of D-Link’s most popular ADSL2+ wireless routers. This specific version is primarily targeted at the Middle East (ME) DSL-2740U The D-Link firmware version ME-1

Firmware from the era of ME-1.03 (typically dating back to the early 2010s) lacks support for modern security protocols. For instance, the administrative interface likely supports outdated encryption standards and may be vulnerable to common exploits such as DNS rebinding or authentication bypass attacks that have been discovered in the years since its release. Furthermore, the firmware does not support modern Wi-Fi security standards like WPA3, leaving wireless traffic susceptible to interception. The existence of "ME-1.03" serves as a case study in the importance of firmware updates: once a manufacturer ceases support—as D-Link has for this legacy model—the device becomes a potential entry point for malicious actors, regardless of how well it routes traffic.

Driver Improvements

: Modified wireless drivers for better stability and range under the 802.11n standard. Connect to your router : Connect your computer

The user interface in ME-1.03 received subtle but important tweaks:
