- The Setup: You are Isaac Clarke, an engineer stuck on the mining ship USG Ishimura.
- Why play it: It is the purest survival horror experience. The "zero-gravity" mechanics are dated (jumping strictly between surfaces), but the atmosphere is unmatched.
- Collection Note: This is the version with the "turret defense" minigame during the asteroid section, which was removed/changed in the 2023 Remake.
