Accessing the service menu of the AnyTone AT-5555N II allows for fine-tuning of frequency alignment and carrier settings that are not available in the standard user menu. How to Access the Service Menu

• Rotate the Main Encoder (Channel Knob): Cycles through the available adjustment parameters.
• Press the Microphone PTT (Push-to-Talk): In some versions, pressing the PTT saves the current setting or toggles between Transmit/Receive alignment modes.
• Rotate the Volume Knob: Adjusts the value of the selected parameter.

• Technical Explanation: The N II is designed primarily for FM/SSB. AM power is often capped via software in the Service Menu (AM PWR or AM PO) to prevent thermal damage to the heatsink, which is smaller than in previous models.
• Solution: There is typically a separate menu item for AM Carrier Power. Raising the Carrier Power does not increase peak power (PEP), it simply creates more heat. It is recommended to leave AM power at factory default (~10-15W Carrier).
