Understanding the intersection of animal behavior veterinary science
Modern veterinary science has adopted the (originally farm animal welfare). Note that three of them are purely behavioral:
Behavior is often the first "diagnostic test" for neurological health in pets.
Post-COVID, remote behavioral consultations exploded. A veterinarian can watch a dog’s behavior in its home environment (where the problem occurs) rather than the sterile, fear-inducing exam room. This yields superior diagnostics.
While much of the public focuses on dogs and cats, the intersection of behavior and veterinary science is arguably more critical in production animal medicine.
