Download the firmware ZIP file (e.g., 8227L_android_11_ui2_update.zip)
Extract the contents. Look for a folder named update containing files like update.img, boot.img, system.img
Copy the entire update folder to the root of your FAT32 USB drive
Insert USB drive into the head unit's dedicated USB port (usually USB1, not the one labeled "DVR" or "Dashcam")
Go to Settings → System → System Update (or About device → Wireless Update → Local Update)
Select the USB drive. The system should detect update.img
Tap Install or Update. The unit will reboot into recovery mode (green android robot)
Wait 5–10 minutes. Do not power off. It will reboot automatically
First boot takes 5–8 minutes – longer than usual (this is normal)
